For L&D teams
Consistent course quality, without depending on who built it.
Pedagrade is a private-AI second set of eyes on every course your team ships. It grades the instructional design, accessibility, and usability, cites the principle, writes the fix, and coaches the designer, so good practice stops being personality-dependent.
The problem this solves
- ✕Quality varies by whoever built the course. Misaligned assessments, non-measurable objectives, and usability gaps reach production and reach learners.
- ✕Accessibility is hard to get right and hard to train. Even with repeated training, WCAG gaps slip through, exposing the organization to compliance risk and rework.
- ✕Senior reviewers are the bottleneck. Experienced designers and managers spend hours QA-ing work and re-explaining the same principles.
- ✕Training doesn't stick. Designers know the theory but don't consistently apply it under deadline.
What each designer gets, in under a minute
They paste a course or storyboard (or upload it) and get back a scored, prioritized report that:
- ✓Grades it against the learning science (Bloom's, Mayer, Gagné, Merrill, and assessment alignment), WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility, and usability.
- ✓Cites the principle behind every issue and writes the fix, so it teaches while it checks.
- ✓Ends with a practice plan: the habits that designer should build, so the lesson carries to their next course, not just this one.
- ✓Applies the approved fixes into a revised draft they can export.
Every designer works to the same standard, so reviews get faster and the floor for quality goes up across the whole team.
Why it pays for itself
Fewer errors reach learners
Catch misalignment, accessibility, and usability issues before launch, not after a complaint or an audit.
Lower accessibility risk
A WCAG 2.1 AA design review on every course, consistently, instead of hoping it was remembered.
Less senior-review time
The tool handles the consistent, teachable checks; your experts spend their time on judgment, not catching the obvious.
Upskilling that sticks
The practice plan turns every audit into targeted coaching, reducing the training burden and raising the whole team.
The math is simple. At $29 per designer per month, Pedagrade pays for a full year of a seat if it saves that designer a few hours of rework and review, or prevents a single accessibility remediation, over the whole year. Most teams clear that bar on their first few courses.
Why not the tools you already have
Authoring tools (Articulate, etc.)
Build courses; they don't audit the instructional design or catch the errors.
Accessibility scanners
See WCAG on a finished page, but nothing about whether it teaches.
Consultants / QM reviews
Thorough but slow and expensive, often thousands of dollars per course.
Generic AI checkers
Send your confidential course content to a third-party AI, and give generic advice.
Pedagrade
All of it, on private AI, in under a minute, self-serve, for every designer.
Safe for confidential material
Pedagrade runs its own private AI on hardware we own and control. Your course content is never sent to OpenAI, Anthropic, or any other AI company, is not stored beyond the session for anonymous use, and is never used to train a model. Everything is over HTTPS. This is why it is safe for internal, proprietary, and regulated content. A one-page summary for IT/security is available on request.
Start with a low-risk pilot
Pick three to five designers, have them run their real storyboards for a week, and see the consistency and the issues caught for yourself. Pricing is $29 per designer per month, with simple options for teams; a shared organization plan is available.
